Prose Studies
Prose Studies motivates students to read Prose as major literature genre. It invites students to a deep reading on prose elements. Students are also introduced with various texts and theories in order to study English Prose.
Intensive Reading
This course aims at developing students’ reading skill by involving learners reading in detail with specific learning aims and tasks. The activities include skimming a text for specific information to answer true or false statements or filling gaps in a summary, scanning a text to match headings to paragraphs, and scanning jumbled paragraphs and then reading them carefully to put them into the correct order.
Advanced Grammar
This
course is intended to enhance students’ English structure at advanced level. In
promoting their communicative skills (both productive and receptive), students
will participate actively not only in individual work but also pair and group
work in discussing tenses, passive voice, conditional tenses, etc.
English Phonology
This course provides the students with basic knowledge of English phonetics and phonology. english phonetics include description of phonetic features for segmental phonemes (i.e., consonants and vowels) and supra segmental phonemes (i.e., stress, intonation, and juncture). students also learns the knowledge and practical skill of reading and writing phonetic transcription, both broad and narrow transcription.
Micro Teaching - A
This course is designed for preparing PSTs to be ready to implement all theories into practice.
